Ground Stabilisation & Remediation

Smith Construction have pioneered an environmental solution to poor and soft ground conditions, previously unheard of in the sports surface industry.

This enables facilities to be constructed cost effectively, in many instances, where previously they were not economically viable.

Smith Construction have shown the effectiveness of this method on more than 50 projects throughout the UK.

In the past, ground stabilisation involved digging and moving vast quantities of soil or sub-soil and transporting to tip, installing layers of steel reinforcement mesh and then importing huge quantities of quarried aggregate in an attempt to provide a strong platform on which to begin building.

Now, the methods used by Smith Construction to stabilise provide an environmental solution with many benefits.
- Saves environmental impact
- Saves time
- Saves waste
- Wet weather work continues
- Cost effective
- Reduces landfill

Ground stabilising in this way, to convert poor quality soil in to strong foundation material has been proven for many years.
