17 years after construction, the pitch at St Teresa’s School, Effingham looks as good as new after their rejuvenation carried out by Smith Maintenance.

Prior to construction, St Teresa’s School opted for an engineered base as opposed to its dynamic base alternative. 

An engineered base includes a layer of tarmac on top of the stone, thus creating a stable, regular surface. Guaranteeing a high quality facility, which improves playing characteristics initially and over time.

By deciding on an engineered base and a specialist maintenance routine, wear and tear can be reduced, which can be seen in the photo.  17 years after 

installation, the lines are still perfectly straight and the carpet has no signs of undulation, tears or movement.
