Smith's established construction teams have gained a vast experience of building sports facilities over the years.
We have constructed more than 650 Artificial Grass Pitches, 22 Athletics Tracks, numerous Tennis and Netball Courts, Multi Use Games Areas, Cricket Wickets, and Athletics Field Events Facilities, Natural Grass Sports Pitches and Amenity Areas, Sports Halls, Changing Rooms and Pavilions.

The importance of a working environment that promotes professionalism is recognised. Investment in industry training for all of its professional staff and site operatives ensures that the knowledge base and areas of expertise continue to broaden.
Our company policy is in line with that recognised in the UK’s Main Contractors Group.
Therefore each person is trained in health and safety awareness and everyone holds an individual ID card showing their registered qualifications under the Construction S C S Scheme.
All plant operators are trained and qualified to operate machinery. Individual ID cards show each category of plant registered under the CPS Scheme.

We are committed to achieving sports industry leading performance in health, safety and environmental management across the organisation. We recognise that achieving the highest standards in health, safety and environment is an integral part of our business and will take all reasonable steps to minimise health and safety risk and environmental impact to our workers, customers and public alike.
Regardless of project size, Construction Design Management Plan, Method Statements, Health and Safety Plans and Risk Assessments are provided for each project.
Our employees are trained and hold certificates in health and safety awareness as a minimum requirement before working on any site.
Project Management
The key to a successful high quality installation is the effective management of the total project process by envisioning the entire project from start to finish.
Smith Construction’s project managers form close links with clients and are the main point of contact for all aspects of the project. The exact needs of the client are determined and implemented from design through construction and up to completion, constantly ensuring that every clients vision is realized.
The company’s project managers work closely with it’s site managers to maintain progress and productive interaction with the various trades in such a way that the overall project is delivered within budget, to the required quality and on time.
