About

We were founded in 1979 as a family building firm with strong values and continue to grow the business with our focus on “doing the job the right way”. Developing lasting relationships with our clients, staff and suppliers is a measure of our care and commitment throughout everything we do.

Business Structure

Smith Construction (Heckington) Ltd are a civil engineering and construction company who specialise in sports surfaces and facilities. We are part of the Melbourne Holdings Group of Companies.

Our business has grown over 40 years in to the multi-skilled construction organisation it is today. We have an all-inclusive, flexible approach to our projects where we work together with shared vision and objectives.

Operating from our head office premises in Lincolnshire, our business is conducted in all counties throughout the UK.

We manage our business with an internal divisional structure where all divisional teams share knowledge and information.

Smith Construction’s projects often require the services of a number of in-house teams, where management of quality, resources and skills is the responsibility of each divisional manager and their team. This ensures we have close control over quality standards, project timescales and budgets.

We approach each of our projects with a view to minimising the environmental impact and carbon footprint. Starting with facility design, through to facility operations, we recognise we have a role to play to ensure long-term sustainability for future generations.
